This is not an argument for or against bed-sharing or co sleeping, it is just my experience! I love my sleep, always have and probably always will! If only someone could invent a sleep bank where any hours of sleep over 8 per night could be stored and pulled out when needed, now that would be Nobel Prize worthy. Saying NO and Not Feel Guilty
I have learned a lot of lessons in life, but the most important one is that life is short and since we are never guaranteed tomorrow, I choose to make the most of TODAY. As a wife, mom of two busy girls, a business owner, taxi driver, helper of homework and projects, volunteer, soccer player and gym rat, I wear a ton of different hats. Not only did I lose a child, but I lost all my hopes and dreams for him as well!
When the doctor lifted his stethoscope and told us that our son, who was cradled in my arms, had passed away, my world crumbled. I was numb, found it hard to breath and my heart had shattered into a million pieces. Yet I still had to answer questions from the police, standard procedure, but still completely awful, walk back into a room full of people that didn’t know what to say and then return home to tell my daughter that her little brother would not be coming home, EVER!
To all the dads out there, I hope you are blessed beyond measure today and every day that follows. I don’t think dads get enough credit these days – well the good ones at least. When a person has successfully made and delivered four kids, one would think….this is it. Well, our family was destined to be different. We felt like we were supposed to “make four and get four”. So, after “making” four kids in five years, it was time to start the process of “getting” four. Sounds crazy, huh? Well, it might be, but this is what our family has been called to do. At the present time, we have made four and gotten two. So there are two more out there, waiting patiently for us to claim them…..and that IS CRAZY. Crazy can be good.
